MM Mobile Truck Repair & Tires

Had a set of steer tires that were worn down worse than I realized and needed them handled before a long haul. MM came out to the yard and swapped both, balanced them and checked the pressures all around. The tech knew what he was doing and didnt waste any time getting set up. What stood out was how careful he was mounting them, no rushing and no cutting corners. He also pointed out one of my rear tires was getting close and gave me his honest read on how long I could push it before I needed to deal with it. No pressure to buy right then, just useful info. I heard their name come up around South Elgin for someone who could come to me instead of me sitting at a shop all day. Tires have been running smooth and true since and I didnt lose a day of work getting it done. Thats worth a lot when youre trying to keep a schedule.

My truck developed a bad vibration at highway speed and it was getting worse every day. At first I thought it was a tire balance issue but it felt different, more of a driveline shake than a wheel wobble. Called MM Mobile and described what was going on. The tech came out the next day and got under the truck. Found that a u-joint on the rear driveshaft was going bad, you could feel the play in it by hand once he pointed it out. He had a replacement on his service truck and got it pressed in on site. The whole job took about an hour and a half. Took it on the highway after and the vibration was completely gone, smooth ride all the way up to speed. What I liked is that he didn't just throw parts at it. He actually listened to what I described, test drove it briefly in the lot, and diagnosed it correctly the first time. The price was reasonable for the part and labor.

got a check engine light and rough idle on my international while i was parked at a shipper waiting to load. looked up mobile truck repair near me and MM came up. called and talked to someone who asked a few questions about what the truck was doing and said they could get a tech out in about an hour. he actually showed up in like 45 min. plugged in his scanner and started going through codes, ended up being an injector issue. he said he had the part on the truck and could do it there or i could take it somewhere, i said go ahead. took him maybe an hour and a half to pull the old one and get the new one in. cleared the codes and let it idle for a while, ran smooth after that. the whole process from my first phone call to driving out of there was about three hours, most of that was just the actual wrench time. truck has been running good ever since, no more rough idle

called them at like 1am because my truck wouldnt start at a fuel stop. figured id get a voicemail but no someone picked up right away. tech came out, tested the batteries, one was completely dead and the other was barely holding charge. he swapped both and cleaned up the terminals which had a bunch of corrosion on them. truck fired right up. i was back on the road before my delivery window even opened so that worked out pretty perfectly for me

used MM Mobile twice now and both times they showed up with the right tools and parts which is not always a given with mobile repair services. first time was a tire change on my box truck, second was an electrical issue with my running lights. the electric one was tricky because it ended up being a corroded ground wire buried behind the panel. tech found it though without ripping everything apart. fair prices both times
